Broken words
In this piece recorded a conversation between me and my, at the time, boyfriend who we were living in different cities. I extracted my side of the conversation to his and placed opposite sides of the conversation in the same position of two different rooms and opposite two sides of a wall.
In this piece recorded a conversation between me and my, at the time, boyfriend as we were living in different cities. I extracted my side of the conversation to his and placed opposite sides of the conversation in the same position of two different rooms and opposite two sides of a wall, to resemble the distance in which we have and the online lines of communication we have is the sound, or sound to which the spectator and myself s listening to.
As I begun showing and installing the work, I became more fascinated by the occupation fo the people listening to the work. I begun to record myself listening to the sound whilst watching the works from ‘Exhausting a Projector’.
This extended into my recording of myself listening to my now ex-boyfriends side of the conversation in various locations, such as stars and escalators.
After rewatching the films I realised that the fascination I had with the film were my occupation of a space, and this had been constructed by the cinematic device of the camera, and the angle in which this propelled. Therefore, I paired the cinematic device of a camera with my experiences by filming my activities over 3 days using a GoPro which I attached to my chest.
